Megan Denise Fox also known as Megan Fox (born May 16, 1986) is an American actress and model, best known for her roles on the television series Hope and Faith and in the pupular 2007 movie Transformers.

She was born in Rockwood, Tennessee and has Irish, French and Cherokee ancestry. Fox began her training in drama and dance at the age of 5, then moved to Florida when she was 10 years old, continuing her training, and finishing school. She began acting and modeling at the age of thirteen upon winning several awards at the 1999 American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
As of 2007, Megan Fox is engaged to actor Brian Austin Green.

Career
Megan Fox made her film debut in the 2001 film Holiday in the Sun as the spoiled heiress and rival of Ashley Olsen. She then landed guest appearances on Ocean Ave., What I Like About You, Two and a Half Men and The Help from 2003 to 2004. In 2004, Fox starred in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen alongside Lindsay Lohan. She was subsequently cast in her first recurring role in a television series on Hope & Faith, in which she portrayed Sydney Shanowski from 2004 until 2006.

Fox won the role of female lead, Mikaela Banes, in the film Transformers, where she plays the love interest of Shia LaBeouf's character Sam Witwicky. In June 2007, Fox was reportedly cast in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, also starring Jeff Bridges and Kirsten Dunst. Ironically, the character Fox will portray is that of a young Hollywood starlet getting her first taste of fame.

Despite rumored plans to appear on the CW’s hit show “Gossip Girl,” Mischa Barton will not take on a new TV role. Mischa’s rep claimed producers approached her, but she turned it down.

TV Guide reported that Barton, 22, had been approached to play Georgina Sparks, an old friend of reformed party girl Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively).

But her rep tells Usmagazine.com, “She will not be on the show. She was approached, but her reps passed.”

Mischa, currently in Paris for Fashion Week, reportedly plans to pursue film roles and smoke a lot of dope.
